Welcome to the Bioimaging Wiki

The Bioimaging Wiki is a free online encyclopedia of biological imaging.

Biological imaging is a relatively new and exciting field of research that uses interdisciplinary methods to study biological processes in cells and organisms. Methods in this field often combine new technologies in optics, computer science, chemistry, and biological engineering.

This encyclopedia is very new and still being developed, but you can expect to find articles on imaging science, algorithms related to image analysis, principles of action of fluorophores and fluorescent markers, and biological techniques, such as genetic engineering. We are also planning to include imaging, image analysis, and wet lab protocols.
